Christmas Prep

After all of  our Thanksgiving company left, we began decorating for Christmas.  I loved watching the girls.  Emma is a few years in, and you could definitely see her perfectionist coming out, decorating the tree just so.  She constantly walked around the tree and climbed the step stool to rearrange and perfect each ornament.  Hannah loved the lights.  And the candy canes.  We had to keep a close eye on her and eventually hide all the candy canes!  When Scout, the elf on the shelf, made her appearance, they were so excited!  Each morning they would look all around the house for Scout.  Then they would giggle and giggle!  Hannah, each time, would say, "Silly Scout".

Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving, one of my all time favorite cousins, Greg, and his precious wife, Meredith, came to visit for a few days.  Their baby Lane has grown so much and it was so nice to spend some time with them!  They came to town to spend Thanksgiving with his siblings, however we were the ones with enough space to house them for the week.  We didn't complain at all!  Over the week we caught up on each others lives, enjoyed food, and made a trip to the Science Museum.  On Thanksgiving, we made a quick day trip to Bartlesville to be with Bretts folks.  The following day, the rest of the cousins came over to our house for fun evening.  While they were visiting, Emma received her first love letter!!  Her little friend from church, Truman, sent a letter through the U.S. postal service to confess of his love for her.  She giggled and giggled, asking us to re-read it to her, each time laughing harder.  Keep laughing off those boys, baby girl!!

Grandpa Ralph Comes to Town

We were able to have a short visit with my grandpa and Aunt Susie during a quick trip to Oklahoma.  I love my grandpa.  So much energy and a genuine love for everybody!!  Not to mention he has a way with the kiddos!!
