A baby shower for Ben.

I have been so blessed with such an amazing family and church family.  The girls in my church group way out did themselves celebrating Ben! It was a very classy tea party theme with all the best background music and the sweetest games.  My very favorite keepsake is a little book they put together full of prayers and sweet words for our little guy.

June Redo.

Last month, we started to get ready for Ben.  Since I'm not ready to send any of the kids upstairs yet, they are all going to bunk together in the only other downstairs bedroom besides ours.  They all end up sleeping with us anyways!  Anyways, a co-ed bunk, means a co-ed makeover!  Of course, Hannah will stay in the crib a little longer, as Ben will be in our room for a few months, but Emma is really excited for the time when Hannah will switch over to her big bed with her. I was really pleased with how it turned out!

I must have put Brett in the mood, because he re-did their park out back.  I must say, it looks a lot cleaner out there now!

We also went and took a peek at the land after the guys mowed it.  It's so pretty out there!  I'm getting excited for building time!

June.

We had a lovely June.  We re-did the kids room to make it more boy friendly for Ben, my girlfriends had a most lovely baby shower for me, and we had SUNSHINE!  We spent many a days playing in sprinklers and pools.  We love being outside, so we were so happy to be done with all the rain.

Hannah is just as sweet as can be.  She really gets into dancing.  Every morning during breakfast clean up she points to the speaker in the kitchen and asks for dance.  So we have a morning dance party to toddler tunes, or the cha cha slide, or pretty much anything with a funky beat.  The girl definitely has moves.  She is so independent, but also so snuggly.  The doctor told us at her check up that she talks more like a two year old and was really impressed with her motor skills.  She sings "Let it Go" over and over, and I'm not even close to getting tired of hearing her sweet little voice.  She's pretty good with tone, too!  She's 50th percentile at weight, and 32nd percentile at height.  She loves brushing her teeth with sister, bedtime stories, and while she doesn't listen to prayer time, she does participate in the closing "AMEN".  She loves to help.  She likes to help load the silverware in the dishwasher, and put the clothes in the dryer.  She loves all things bubbles, and whatever Emma is into.  Such a sweetheart!

Emma is so sweet with her sister.  She went to Bible School this year for the first time and had a blast!  She is going to love Pre-k.  Her first day to Bible school, she told her sister, "now I'm going to school today, but I will be back".  She loves everything crafts, coloring, pretend play, play-doh, and animals.  She's really excited about baby Ben.  She is very much a rule follower and loves to make friends, and make sure all her friends feel loved, and that everybody is happy or laughing.  I worry that she is almost too much of  a people pleaser, so we work on making sure other people know her boundaries, also.  But don't worry, she still knows how to throw in a tantrum from time to time. ;)

I'm getting slower.  And tired.  The rest of the summer is going to be hard on me I'm afraid!
