What matters most...: August 2014

We have made so many friends here in Edmond through our church and through our moms group. We feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community! I'm also loving being a stay at home mom. I struggled for awhile to find a balance, but I'm really enjoying being with my girls.

Emma is talking so well. Such a big girl! Hannah is such a beautiful baby. Her big baby blues and gummy grins get attention everywhere we go. People always have to stop and talk to her. She flaps her arms and blinks her eyes eating it all up! She is such a mommy's girl. She rarely cries, unless of course I walk away. Good thing I love being with her! We still co-sleep from time to time and breastfeed exclusively. I can't go too far because the girl refuses a bottle! She did start to spoon feed with baby food this month, so we have longer stretches as her belly fills up heavier.

I love watching these sweet girls together. I was prepared for Emma to act out, but she loves her baby sister and is always talking to her or helping her eat or showing her different toys. Hannah just watches her big sister every move she makes.

Brett is hard at work as this is his busy season. Business is great and we really feel fortunate that we had this opportunity to move here so he could have his own business!

Besides playing, we had a busy month with cousin Chelsea's graduation from OSU in Stillwater, and a trip to Lincoln, Kansas for my stepbrother, Randall's, graduation from high school. Brett's grandparents made it from Bucklin, Kansas for Chelsea's graduation. This was Hannah's first time meeting them, and Emma's first time since she was 6 months old! It was a great weekend!!
