Catch up: The Finale

We get to have another baby, due January 7th!

It has been a long road with a lot of heartache, but it has finally happened!  The specialist released me from his care to my regular OB.  Everything is perfect so far.  My labs are great, I feel great, and baby measures perfectly.  They tell me I'm now just a regular pregnant lady, but they have me on a lot of extra medications to be safe.  Please remember us in your prayers as I'm sure that the fear and anxiety will be haunting me until this baby is safely delivered!

Catch up: part 2... the one with all the pictures.

This past month, I have been watching Emma's friend, Seger, on Wednesdays.  This allowed his mama time to get done with mama stuff while his big sisters were in summer school.  I loved this time with this sweet boy!  Emma stays with them on the days I work, so it was fun to watch the dynamics of their relationship they have built.  They play so nicely and are definitely great friends.

We've also had a few days with other friends who dropped by to play!

We renewed our zoo passes again this summer, which is great for us.  We like the zoo, but Em gets tired easy, so we can come and go as she pleases.  It's also a great way for her to learn and get excited about animals!

We also decided to get passes to Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun.  We knew we weren't going to go on any trips this year, but we really wanted to have fun things to do away from the house.  Turns out, Emma is a little dare devil!  She loves the kid rides and all of the water slides!

We had the opportunity to work with Convoy of Hope again this year.  Witnessing the planting of seeds of faith and hope in the lives of others is such an amazing experience.  My bestie, Brooke, joined us this year in the Samaritan's Feet tent.  I just love this ministry.  Nothing more precious than washing the feet of children and providing them with brand new shoes.  Lots of prayer and renewed faith for folks, including myself.

Emma has been enjoying some time with Aunt Karen, Uncle Dan, and cousins Alex and Chris.  They watched her while we helped with Convoy and then they fed us all!  We got to spend some more time with them while Brett's brother, Matt, was in town last weekend when they fed us all again. They are pretty great people :)

My brother and his sweet family moved to Sabetha, KS.  We helped them load their moving truck, but we're not very happy that they are moving another hour away.  I'm hoping this means that our visits when we are together will be longer.

We've been having a great time just being together.  We love playing in the hose and out in the garden.  We've expanded our flower beds around the perimeter of our yard and planted a few trees.  Emma loves helping ;)

Catch up: part 1

I've been gone for awhile, for good reason.  I will share details later.  For now, how about a little catch up from the last month.  This is going to be a little piece by piece putting together of the month of June.  So from the top...

We celebrated our five year anniversary!

Five beautiful years.

We have had a lot of fun over the years, and some things that we are glad to have behind us. There are some things I will always love about this guy, and things that I will just have to deal with... like the farting.  And this absolute need to always be right.  Even when I tell him he is wrong, but then he does it anyway, and then his plan fails, and then I say I told you so, but he continues to think he is right about everything.  Things like that I just have to live with, because besides that he is pretty great and I really love him.  The good definitely outweighs the bad.

We didn't really do anything too special.  My dad and Traci watched Emma while we went to dinner.  We came home early though, because we don't get to hang out with my dad and Traci very often.  So really, we just let them do the hard bedtime part while we ate pasta and cake.

Here are a few highlight pictures of our precious runaway wedding and Oklahoma reception five years ago!  Love this guy.
