Halloween was just precious this year. Emma and Hannah both enjoyed getting all dressed up. Emma remembered the concept of trick or treating this year. We had friends over to go trick or treating with us this year, so Brett hooked up a trailer for hayrides and we put the fire pit in the driveway to roast hot dogs and marshmallows between trick or treating. Brett's parents also came up to participate in the festivities and to hold the baby and hand out candy while we took the kids out. Hannah was so sweet on her first trick or treating trip. Every time someone handed her a piece of candy, she pulled a piece out of her bucket to hand back to them. Emma and her friend Max took off running! They were all hopped up on sugar and giggling and dancing between houses.
The week before, we took the kids to Storybook Forest. The kids get to dress up and take a walk through the forest with different nursery rhyme characters and props where they also handed out candy. We ended the night on a hayride. Truly a magical experience with the sweetest age kids. What a blessing to enjoy our children!
