Moving was a lot of work. With me going into my ninth month of pregnancy, Brett working on getting the company in order, and Emma being, well... two, moving was tough. Dan and Tina helped pack us up, load us up, move us, clean the new house, unload and unpack. Not sure how we could have done it without them. Upon arrival to Oklahoma, Brett's Aunt Gail, Uncle HJ, and cousins, Melissa and Chelsea, helped watch Emma, unload, and show us around our new town. Emma really loves the Reeds. I'm so glad she has other people here besides just me and Brett who love her so much! We've really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with them as well!
Emma really has had a hard time leaving all of her buddies. She is very sociable and loves being around other children. She really loves going to church to play with the kids. I've been working very hard to get us involved in different groups to network and meet new people.
The first six weeks here in Oklahoma, Brett was working from home. It was really a nice time for us to spend as a family. We moved in while it was sleeting, which then turned to snow and then an ice storm. We played in the snow and enjoyed being housebound together with nothing to do for awhile after months of business. We have since had some really beautiful days that sent us outside to enjoy the zoo, looking at Christmas lights, and visiting Santa Claus.
Because I was so far along in pregnancy, we stayed home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Uncle Matt flew in for Christmas morning, and Grandma & Grandpa (Ham-ma & Ham-pa as Emma puts it) drove in as well. It's so nice being close to Brett's folks and my mom who has made a few trips over as well.
Emma is really a funny girl. Her newest thing is Cocoa Puffs. Brett introduced her and now that is all she wants. She calls them chocolate meat balls. Cutest thing ever! She loves dressing up like a princess these days. And, I'm pretty sure she has grown an entire foot since we moved here!
