August Goodness.

The summer is winding down.  Finally!  We have been grateful for a little cooler weather this week.  Emma and I even wore sweaters the other morning to run our errands.  Last weekend we went to Springfield, MO for our cousin's little girls first birthday!

Emma had her 15 month check-up last week.  She is now 21.4 lbs, 30.5 inches tall, and a 18.5 head circumference.  That puts her in the 27th %  for weight, 52 %  in height, and the 83rd % for head size.  Hard head that is.  Girl can throw a tantrum!  She carefully lays her body out on the ground and throws her limbs as she wails.  It's kind of impressive. At least I know she has inherited something from me.  Say a little prayer for Brett ;)  

Tantrums are only sometimes, though.  She is such a sweetheart!  She may throw fits, but she also gives great hugs and kisses.  She also takes very good care of her babies ;)  I love the evidence of her all over our home.

We set up her little table outside.  She loves sitting up to it like a big girl.  If she makes a mess, we are outside. (Bonus for mommy!) And, it's the perfect height for Dallas to sneak a bite.  (Bonus for dog!)

Emma's little friend Drayleigh turned four a couple of weeks ago.  Emma loves her big girl friends!  They do such a good job at including her in the fun.

Tomorrow, we leave for vacation.  We fly out in the morning for Houston to watch my beautiful baby cousin get married.  Then on Sunday we will check into our condo in Galveston for a week with friends and family.  This will be Emma's first plane ride, and our first family vacation!  And, it's a good time for a vacation.  Ever get the feeling life was trying to get a reaction out of you?  I've had a nasty case of the "why, I oughtta's." Enter: beach.  Good timing.

Dallas is loving the toddler sizes of everything!
